We're kicking off Giving Tuesday one week early with our Seven Days of Giving campaign! As the holiday season approaches, so does brutally cold weather. This is an especially difficult time for our guests who are living on the street and in shelters and who struggle with food insecurity each and every day. Starting November 25th through Giving Tuesday on December 3rd, we will share a way on Facebook and Instagram that you can help spread joy, hope, and comfort to the approximately 1,500 women we serve each year, most of whom have experienced trauma, abuse, and loss.

WLP Creates Program in Anticipation of Increased Evictions

Many women we serve are now worried about their housing security as the State of Massachusetts’s ban on evictions imposed during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic expired on October 17th. In response to the increase in women who will be turning to WLP for assistance after receiving an eviction notice, our Advocacy program has begun weekly Housing Workshops.

WLP Looks Towards Reopening

Announcing the 2020 Spaghetti Dinner Honoree!

We are pleased to announce Dr. Karilyn Crockett as our 2020 Spaghetti Dinner Honoree. Dr. Crockett was named the City of Boston's first Chief of Equity, a Cabinet-level position established to embed equity and racial justice into all City planning, operations, and work. Women’s Lunch Place looks forward to honoring Dr. Crockett on October 30th and celebrating the impact she has had on our community and the population we serve.
