Patriots Women’s Association visit Women’s Lunch Place

The Patriots Women’s Association has been volunteering annually for 11 years. Women’s Lunch Place was a favorite volunteer site for Mrs. Myra Kraft. She loved visiting with the guests and her visit was a highlight every year. The Patriots Women’s Association members are wives and girlfriends of the Patriots team and staff as well as the cheerleaders. Many of the women are new to the Boston area and the PWA gives them a chance to volunteer in the Boston area and get to know each other. On Monday, the PWA prepared and served lunch to the ladies, called BINGO and gave out Patriots gear as prizes (everyone who plays wins), and spent time with guests decorating masks with glitter and feathers. PWA members also toured the shelter and learned about opportunities for involvement in the future. Emily Stratton (girlfriend of Ryan Allen) is a nurse back home in Oregon, and lives in Boston. She plans to return to Women’s Lunch Place and volunteer this winter. After lunch, PWA members handed each WLP guest a special gift bag with Patriots gear. Donna Spigarolo represented Mr. Robert Kraft and presented WLP with a check for $25,000 to support the meals & services provided to our guests.
