Lori McKenna Sells Out Benefit Concert

The night of January 25th marked our first ever benefit concert featuring Grammy award-winner Lori Mckenna. With over 500 tickets sold and generosity from donors, the concert raised over $40,000 for Women’s Lunch Place. All proceeds will help provide services to women experiencing poverty and homelessness in Greater Boston.

Singer songwriter Hayley Reardon opened the evening with a medley of her songs then Lori Mckenna, partnered with talented musician/guitarist Mark Erelli, hit the stage. The duo was incredible and entertaining. Lori’s personal anecdotes for each song brought meaning to every word she sang. Lori made a lot of new fans and truly embodied her lyrics to Humble and Kind. It was a beautiful night filled with good music, laughter, and friends– all for an amazing cause that will provide dignity, healing, and hope to Boston’s most vulnerable women.

We’d like to especially thank everyone for their donations and support for Women’s Lunch Place. Without all of you, we would not be able to provide the care our guests need. For our first benefit concert, we are overwhelmed with gratefulness and look forward to another event.
