CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Evaluation Process

  • The Board reviews the Chief Executive Officer’s (CEO) performance on an annual basis.

  • There is a formal process for evaluation which consists of a template outlining the major areas of responsibilities for the CEO. In each area, there are provisions for indicating both the Impact/Results achieved and Opportunities for further development. The CEO submits a self-evaluation to the President, and the template is completed by the President and Vice President.

  • The WLP Board HR Committee surveys prevailing compensation rates for similar positions in the area.

  • The evaluation and recommended percentage increase in pay are presented to the Executive Committee for approval.

  • Following approval by the Executive Committee…

    • the full Board meets in Executive Session to be informed of the results of the evaluation process

    • the President delivers the document to the CEO and schedules a meeting with CEO to discuss

  • The pay increase is put through payroll on the anniversary of CEO’s last evaluation/increase.
