Women's Lunch Place Receives the 2018 National Women’s History Month Community Recognition Award

In March, Women’s Lunch Place was honored to receive the 2018 National Women’s History Month Community Recognition Award. The award was given to WLP on behalf of the Partners in Transportation Diversity Committee at the MBTA/Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).

The Partners in Transportation Diversity Committee raises awareness and celebrates cultural diversity within their organization. They believe that our work at WLP of providing meals and other services for vulnerable women while treating them with dignity and respect go hand in hand with their mission.

Executive Director Elizabeth Keeley accepted the award at their ceremony in March.
